The girls and I are headed to Hilton Head for a few days next week to celebrate our fourth anniversary (a little early), as well as have a little vacation before I start teaching.

We've been there twice before (honeymoon and first anniversary), but we still don't know the island really well. We both like seafood. Any recommendations for a nice, local seafood place? I like real hole in the wall places, if you know of any. We were told about the Sea Shack by a friend, but I was wanting some other options.

Thanks in advance.

I wish I could help, C. If it were Charleston or Savannah I'd have a few recommendations.

Enjoy your trip. I've been meaning to get over to Hilton Head.

I was only in HH one time back in 91 on a spring break trip. It is a beautiful place and I want to get back there. I cannot offer any advice, but congratulations to you and your wife.

We were there several years ago. The Sea Shack is a good choice for a local, non-touristy place. Of course, for the opposite extreme, there's always the Salty Dog. ;)

Unfortunately, that's all I can remember.

Thanks guys. We're going to have a great time, I'm sure.

I'm taking all my camera stuff so I'll definitely take some pictures.

Hilton Head was nice.

The Sea Shack was awesome. The hour plus wait out in the summer heat wasn't awesome. But man that blackened grouper was.

The real culinary highlight was Paulie's Coal Fired Pizza. The best pizza I've ever had. And I know a thing or two about pizza.

Really the only pictures I took were of my daughter at the beach. She was a hoot. But we aren't big on posting pictures of her on the internet. I did put some pictures up on Instagram, if you want to check them out.
