Often derided as the security guard look, but it's really the Catholic look. Although most would probably go with black shoes and a solid dark tie. But who wants to look like a Catholic security guard?

I am pleased to report the ship seems to have been righted for the moment and I am not going to be filling out the unemployment forms anytime soon. Thanks to all of you who sent messages of encouragement and support.

Glad to hear this.

Positive karma from going to old people funerals is paying off.

Kept it casual yesterday -- tan cords, blue ocbd, the wonderfully slouchy Gamma Jacket (a dark herringbone tweed that is somewhere between green and black), and AE Leeds in pebble brown/Dainite, as it was drizzling a bit and I had to lug turkeys and things up a long and irregular stairway.

On the way to my Thanksgiving dinner yesterday. It was around 45F and damp and windy by the seaside.

Capas car, Brooks Brothers jacket, Shetland sweater, umbrella, and tie, L L Bean OCBD shirt, Tommy Hilfiger pocket square, Orvis corduroy trousers, and Allen-Edmonds shoes.

I think I've shown this before, but it's my favorite Fall apparel pic. Showing... White bucks, Gray Flannels, Camel Hair Flannel overcoat, pigskin gloves, red wool scarf... and other hard to remember stuff!

Office deserted because it's sleeting and yicky. Perfect time to write up my 2019 wrap stories. Bears, school superintendents, galloping NIMBYs, and other signs of joy and merriment as we head into the festive season.
Old Pendleton wool shirt, Stormy Kromer/Elmer Fudd cap, lined LL Bean chinos, Darn Tough socks and the late lamented Knapp farm boot.
