The new Spiritualized album, Sweet Heart Sweet Light has been on constant repeat for the past few days since its release. Big fan of theirs since Spacemen 3, but they lost their way little by little after Ladies & Gentlemen. This one may be even better than that.

Here's a track co-written by Dr. John. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gb3WoFuf ... ure=relmfu

If you like bluegrass at all (or guitar playing, or mandolin playing, or yelled harmonies), this should suit ya.

They have an album and it is just as amazing as that.

Look on the bright side: in a couple weeks, you and I will both be posting "My barbri lectures." to this thread every single day of the week.

You'll be fine. Just let us know what city you end up in on the associate job hunt . . . should be no problem with the Bar.

Yep, nerdy! This is actually my last exam, so I shouldnt complain too much. Good luck as you finish up.

Beefeater, heading to Houston - my fiance already has her job lined up. I'll be looking (in order) in Admiralty, Energy/Oil and Gas. general civil lit, other civil practice, pool cleaning, criminal (not really something I think I want to do, but I've no experience to know either way tbh).

Oh, and to not steal the thread, I've been listening to hours of BB King while working. Great study music

My music tastes are most certainly untrad. But we live in an age of mp3s so associating with music outside your culture is fairly easy. If not, I'd still be listening to Karen Carpenter.

Soul Cycle II is a prog metal band who gets metal guitarists to solo on their tracks. Great if you love jazzy metal and if you love stupid album covers. We're still in 1997 according to the guy who designed this cover.

Leonardo Rosado creates awesome atmospheric tracks. This one has a good shot of making the upper rankings of my #10 list for the year. It's a "plug in and let run" album.

I don't have the tradliest taste in music. Currently listening to a lot of John Vanderslice and a little Sam Cooke.

They're talking about Big Country on "The Trad" blog.

http://thetrad.blogspot.com/2012/05/com ... untry.html

BC was one of my all-time favorite bands in the 80's. They define "under-rated." How one of their crappiest songs ("In a Big Country") became their biggest hit is a mystery.

If you want to see them at their best, check out the DVD entitled "Final Fling." Watch the Barrowlands (Scotland) show, not the Berlin show. BC did not benefit from the addition of a keyboard player.
