My youngest Boy in a 3/2 roll, Ivy-style, J. Press suit. He's almost three years removed from his Yale graduation - currently working as an Associate in a San Francisco-based Private Equity firm.

J.Press Navy Blue Suit with 3/2 roll lapel and Allen Edmonds Shell Cordovan tassel loafers. Lovin' the shoulders on that J.Press suit!

Bona fide Ivy, man and clothes. Looking great.

Question for your youngest scion: Does he find himself to be a lone proponent of the style among his peers?

It's National Seersucker Day today, and I try to participate every year. Today's outfit is similar in pattern to last year's version, but the colors are different. Here it is:

J. Press 3 roll 2 Chambray sport coat
Paul Frederick Seersucker 6 button vest and matching odd trousers in Raspberry and White
Brooks white OCBD
Brine Lacrosse tie
Allen Edmonds white suede, heavily pinked and perfed, short-wing bucks.

Thanks for looking.

Very "summery" look, Roycru! You look good in Madras.

Thank you. Like you I am celebrating our great national holiday, National Seersucker Day.

All Brooks Brothers except for a Darcy Clothing Company snake belt, Rugby Ralph Lauren socks, and Allen-Edmonds white suede bucks.

(One of my regrets is not getting a pair of Allen-Edmonds white suede Spaggias during the brief period they were available.)

Bill's take on seersucker day is just splendid

I've been wading in rivers and seersucker would be a faux pas

Driving down Magnolia Blvd in Burbank CA and saw a Tardis.

Thought there might be an opportunity to go back to when everyone dressed like me and to hang out with the Brigadier, Leela, Romana, and K-9.

Unfortunately, the Tardis was non-operational.

All Brooks Brothers except for Allen-Edmonds white suede Nomads.

I didn't have a camera handy but my yesterday my cousin had it going on, sporting a nice Brook madras short sleeve untucked over chino shorts with embroidered woody station wagons and Stan Smiths. The only flaw was his lack of striped watchband, but these things can be lived down.

Not the LONE proponent, Ensiferous, but sure not in the majority... or anywhere close to it. In his field, Investment Banking and Private Equity, he's not alone, but the 3 roll 2/ undarted jacket is definitely in the minority.
