I have that same hat. I don't fish, but it keeps me from getting sunburnt. Much cheaper than the O'Connell's version, too.

^ The hat also renders me invisible at the grocery store, to my delight. In my small town, I am, regrettably, something of a public figure and people want to talk to me when all I want to do is get in, get my stuff, and get out. But for some reason they don't recognize me in the Hat of Invisibility.

I have one of those hats, but rarely wear it because it has the opposite effect. Must be a fisherman thing. ;)

Nabbed these lightly-worn USA-made Eastland blucher mocs off eBay today for a good price.

The photo is by the seller, who apparently doesn't believe in shoe trees based on the photos posted of these and other shoes for sale.

Anyone know if this is the Falmouth? The stitching appears different to me along the sides.

Looks like the Falmouth. I guess the stitching you're referring to are the vertical seams in the middle? That's what they look like on the inside edge (see photo), which is what the pics you posted show. The laces have been changed, but that's an easy fix.

Topsider, I was referring to the small bit of squared off stitching at the area within my crudely drawn red squares:

Oh. Good eye. The box stitch was there at one time, as you can still see the vertical marks in the leather. Why the stitching is missing now is anyone's guess. Fell out? Removed intentionally? Dunno.

Well, the Eastlands arrived on Monday...and they're at least a size too small for the tag. Turns out, they're a pair of women's Falmouth mocs.

I confirmed this through an email to Eastland customer service, who also said they were made in 1997.

This is a shame, because they're a quality pair of USA-made mocs and appear to be NOS, never worn.

I'm sending them back for a refund. Back to the drawing board.

If you wear a 9 (8.5 in Rancourt mocs), these are a steal. Seller only has a stock photo posted, but the item description makes it sounds like they've got the real deal. Can't beat brand new Rancourts for $55.

Thanks for the tip, nerdyk. Those are a great deal for sure, but I need a size 9.5

Well, I bought another UGA letterman's cardigan:

It's probably two or three decades newer than my other one but in much better condition, almost unworn. I also bought into a group order from Allen Edmonds of their Higgins Mill boot in a kudu roughout.
