Saw a new post on Ivy Style about a kickstarter campaign for these USA-made unlined collar OCBDs. They also have a chest pocket. Not sure how many buttons are on the placket. Priced at $135:

Other shirts will have detachable collars, which is probably not something I'd pursue.

But the old-style OCBD could be an interesting development.

I'm curious to know who will be making the shirts. It could be interesting if its a new manufacturer. I suspect they will just outsource to one of the few remaining shirt makers. Coincidentally, today I ordered a red oxford from Ratio to my desired specs for $98.

The founder of Ben Douglas is also a member of the Curriculum, TJN. I am sure that he would more than appreciate our support.

^ That's awesome; thanks for pointing that out.

I hope he crushes it on kickstarter...I would love to see this thing succeed.

I'd love him to make a fuller cut. There's been little discussion, but I believe the cut is supposed to be slim. I'm still lamenting the traditional fit being retired at Brooks Brothers.

Hey all!

TJN here, Founder of Ben Douglas. Appreciate you guys checking it out and talking about it.

Our factory is the same NJ factory that produces J.Press' shirts, and we really want to create solid American shirting with details inspired by the golden eras of men's clothing. Our OCBD is definitely something we knew would draw interest from you guys, and I've tried to include all the "proper" details. Our detachable collar is something that is very unique - I came up with the idea after buying multiples of the same shirt just to have different collar styles. It's something I would like to see take off and I would love to offer a whole bunch of different specialty add-on collars in the future.

Let me know if you have any questions I can answer.
