There was a similar thread in the members section, but I can't recall why it didn't happen. There seemed to be a good amount of interest. I would be in.

Where is the members section? I clicked on "members" above and it was just a list of members.

Thinking out loud....

"Curriculum" is linked with academia. So perhaps an emblematic crest/coat of arms would be appropriate for our tie. Something similar to a university crest.

Three words we might include with the crest that embody our ideals: Education. Consideration. Presentation (or in Latin, Educatio [or Ludus], Ratio. Adesse).

I'm not a Latin scholar, just using what I quickly found online, LOL.

Or this might be overly pretentious. But I just wanted to toss the idea out there.
I like Ensiferous' design, which looks really nice. In general I'm not terribly big on crests, but the whole tie works.

I don't have any particular feelings one way or the other about Latin on the tie, but I suppose I should mention this, since it's almost never of any use: I'm a classics professor. So I could help with appropriate Latin words for the tie, if necessary. (*Ludus* wouldn't be right, since it usually means "game"; *ratio* can mean a million things and perhaps isn't a good choice; and *adesse* is a verb that typically means "to be present," so it's probably not great either.)

Now *that's* overly pretentious!

Not al all, Sir Cingle. The time to be really particular is before one pays for the embroidery set up!

Your guidance is welcome. :D

If you don't yet have access to the Member's Den rmp, you will soon. It's the smoky back room of the site.

It's "Member Den" which is one of the "General Discussion" groups. It can only be seen by members.

^ At some point Jordan started shielding the section from new members, I think there's a post count or time limit that has to be met, then you gain access

The tie looks great, I like the second mock up a lot. I also really think Trip's idea of all the crests being the same except for one is perfect
