back in reality...

At $795, this strikes me as good bang for the buck, I assume "imported" means "Made in China."

I love everything about the Press suit except for those damn lapels. I don't know why, but I just don't like the way they look. Am I missing something? Am I the only one?

What about them don't you like Reddington? Maybe you are seeing something objectionable that I am not.

Personally, I think they are neither too narrow nor too wide, there appears to be a swelled edge (topstitch), and the gorge is nice and high.

But I am OK with lapels that don't fall within either extremes. I guess where those extremes lie is subjective.

My guess might be that you think they are on the narrow side. What are your thoughts?

No, I think I see what you mean. To me it almost looks like the lapel doesn't roll long/deep enough, like it's a particularly short and broad triangle? At least I think that's what's throwing off the proportions to my eye. I can't decide if it's just the angle the picture was taken at or not, though.

I would like to see it on a real person.

I agree with Reuben. It appears that the buttoning point might be a bit to high which is throwing off the proportions.

I see that Press is touting their shaggy dog sweaters via email. They're fairly proud of them too at $245.
Andover Shop has similar brushed shetlands at $165. This makes me wonder if Press is really just a showpiece/advertisement for their Japanese business. This makes sense of their not bothering to have a NYC store. I read that the York St. line is being discontinued but they havent bothered to carry the Press line at their NYC York St. store.
