Yeah, don't know if I would have bought the half sleeve intentionally, but am now into the challenge of trying to make it work.

THOSE. SHOES. ARE. BEAUTIFUL.

Best way to figure out maker with that kind of thing is to compare the markings on the inside to those of a Rancourt made shoe, for example:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Ralph-Lauren-M ... xy4dNS5xuW

These overpriced tragedies appear to be made by Rancourt based on the markings in the 6th picture, which look a lot like the same markings on the inside of my Rancourts.

I will be the lone voice to say that I think that you can pulled off the NASA look. I even think that it looks cool...at times. I believe in you LC!

Haha thanks Ox, but I have no intention of wearing this guy with a tie. They'll most likely end up paired with stand up shorts or some madras.

In other news, this is potentially my best eBay find in years:

It went for a best offer under the already low asking price, and the New Haven on the Chipp label pegs this as being from peak of the Ivy look.

Hahahaha, I'm obviously not going to be able to wear this to the office or anything, but it was too good to pass up

Earlier today, I picked up these practically brand-new Minnetonka suede blucher mocs with camp soles at a resale shop. Made in the USA, too.

Today, all of Minnetonka's shoes are made in the Dominican Republic or China. Anyone know if Minnetonka actually made these or if they were made by Eastland, Rancourt, other?

So I contacted Minnetonka and I ended up hearing back from the CEO about these shoes. They were made in 1995 and called the "Frisco." Distressed oiled cow suede. Made in the Minnetonka factory in Puerto Rico (which is how they got away with stamping them "Made in U.S.A."). The CEO says it's unlikely they'll ever make this style again.

That's a pity because they're great looking shoes. I'll have to keep an eye out for a pair in my size.

And they both work so well together. :D

The Northumbria is mint. Just needs a waxing.

Anyone know what the inner pocket straps are meant to hold in place?

I'm pretty sure this vintage new-old-stock wool robe is a Burberry, but it is not tagged as such. It even has the oft-missing belt.

If memory serves, the whole thing rolls up and fits into the pocket. The straps keep it rolled up. I have one of those in blue.

Thanks, Topsider. I just have to figure out how to fold it up into the kangaroo pocket!
