Here is one of my favorite Madras shirts... from Lands' End... from WAY BACK Lands' End. It was new sometime more than 30 years ago! It is getting thinner and thinner as the number of washing's increase, but I'll keep wearin' it until only the doubled-layer collar, cuffs, and placket remain!

Lands' End Madras belt and tie, purchased several years apart... more than a decade ago.

Until today, I hadn't noticed that the belt and tie are from the same pattern, and for all I know... from the same bolt of cloth!

Here they are again, this time as matchy-matchy:

I promise I'll never wear them together! :-)

This image of India Madras trousers is from O'Connell's Old stock section. I have the green equaivalent, which has been sold out and, therefore, is no longer pictured.

Here is the text accompanying the picture:

Authentic India Bleeding Madras Trouser Red0
Authentic 100% cotton flat front Indian Madras pants. From the 60's 70's and 80's. Bleeding, hand loomed, and vegetable dyed. A true classic. Made in USA.

**Note - these madras pants will fit true in the waist but trim through the legs.

Later today, I'll post an outfit with my green trousers, white bucks, and a Blue Chambray 3/2 roll sport coat.

A knockout pair of pants, Bill! You did a great job keeping everything else simple so those pants can be the rightful star of the show. Also, you've got one talented tailor. I appreciate how the pattern continues through the cuff.

Gamma, your madras jacket has got the perfect amount of pop. Lovely color scheme.
