Talk about the perfect autumnal getup! All the colors compliment each other so well. I especially like the tie and shoes.

^ Yeah, man, that is perfect. I even like the socks. Those look like Scott-Nichol socks, which I discovered last year; made by Pantherella; available at J. Press and O'Connell's. Very warm, not scratchy, and thickish but not to the extent that they won't fit into your shoes.

Thanks, Sartre. And thanks for the links to the other socks.

The ones offered by O'Connell's are probably better than the ones I wore because of the Alpaca/nylon in the mix. Mine are itchy and don't stay up very well. IIRC, they are 100% wool.

I tried hand washing them and adding a little lanolin, but they still itch a little. Maybe with time they'll improve.

Looks great, Sartre. Love the look! Interestingly, I have a Blue Mercer OCBD and a J. Press Fox tie in the same color! I do get compliments on that jacket – Hope you do too!

Ensif: Thanks for the compliments!

O'Connells/plaid Robert Noble Tweed/sewn in Canada by the good guys – only a few left in stock. It's only a guess, but I think they're out of your size.

Thanks for the link Billax, but you are correct; no luck for me.

I will have to stick with the most similar jacket I have until then, which is this ancient 2-button. (Sorry for the old pics from my archives.)

They're not out of my size...dang. Temptation. Think I could I call it a Christmas present to myself...?

It'll be on sale in February, if you can wait that long.
