* Brooks Brothers 3/2 sack corduroy jacket and OCBD
* Rooster 'Heathernit' mohair/wool tie
* Orvis surcingle belt
* Bills Khakis
* Seiko 5 automatic with Italian calfskin band

This is the debut of this jacket (eBay purchase). Made in Malaysia (!) for Fall 2006. I don't think it was ever worn. The breast pocket is still basted shut. Looking to break it in to make it sufficiently slouchy.

Going to lunch with the guys today. Weather is overcast and still, specs of 52º, 59% relative humidity, and dead calm. Shifted to my Fall/Winter closets for the next 5+ months.

Standing by the Music Box Steps where Laurel and Hardy filmed "The Music Box" (the film where they try to move a piano up these steps) in 1932.

In 1947, I lived in the building to the left of the Music Box Steps.

Brooks Brothers blue blazer, blue OCBD shirt, and Argyle sweater vest, Berkley heraldic tie, Lands' End tan twill trousers, and Allen-Edmonds shoes.

^ Great rig, Roycru. And I love the location you chose for the shot.

I've never been to L.A.. But when I go one day, I intend to visit as many "old Hollywood" film sites as possible. If any others come to mind while you're out and about, I'd love to see them as backdrops in your WAYWT photos.

One of my favorite s/j + trouser combinations, and Billax does it better than anyone:

Your admission of wearing junk navy blue crew socks was a liberating moment for me, since they are what I wear much of the time.

I do believe that only Roycru can pose with that kind of panache next to a Homer Bucket.

A little Fall pattern-mixing.

^ Now that's how casual is done.

Everything's nice and loose yet it all fits.

If you keep a rolled up knit tie in your pocket you can get into the 21 Club

Thanks, Patrick. This jacket has just the right amount of "slouch." Feels like a comfy old standby sweater.

Thank you.

Out early this morning before it got too warm (the prediction for Thanksgiving is 91F) standing near a ginkgo tree and some succulents (which grow really big here since it rarely freezes).

Brooks Brothers jacket, tie, and sweater vest, old (60% cotton-40% polyester Made In USA) L L Bean OCBD shirt (with patch pocket), generic pocket square, Orvis moleskin trousers, and Allen-Edmonds shoes.
