Thanks, Gamma! It is a ponyless PRL shirt from about 3-4 years ago. It was a long sleeve shirt, but I never ever wore it. So, I decided to make it a short sleeve shirt. Now I wear it all of the time! One of my better experiments.

Gamma - Great set of pics. I enjoyed them.

Walked past a new shop that sells sunglasses with wooden frames so I went in and tried on a pair.

Brooks Brothers patchwork Madras jacket (with replacement pearl buttons), blue PPBD shirt, white Irish linen pocket square, BB#1 stripe ribbon belt, and pre Official Preppy Handbook white cotton and polyester blend trousers, Ben Silver Churchill Dot tie, Bass white bucks, and Dress Positive sunglasses with two-tone wooden frames.

^ Looking easy breezy, LC. I like it. Are those gingham shorts or pants?

Here's today:

Also, can we talk about the 5 pack of mixed pattern navy sox currently available at Costco? I think they're the new 'Targyles.'

I'm intrigued. Is there a thread or a discussion on these anywhere? I try to buy sized socks these days, but if these run a little on the small side, I may have to grab a set. Life's too short for socks that are too long.

Thanks LeeLo, they're vintage Brooks trousers, an extremely lucky thrift find from a few years back. I've never seen much else like them, and for GTH pants, they're pretty wearable. I really like your madras tie, LE had some great ones way back when.

NK, no other thread that I know of discussing socks (but start one buy all means). I found mine in the store, so they were similar to your linked option but a little different. Or at least they look similar to the set that comes up in the initial image there (but then goes away) where all the socks are navy based, some plain, some dotted, some with a criss-cross pattern. Also, they're half that much in the store. I've only had them for a short time now, but the seem to hold up well over multiple wearings, stay up on your legs throughout the day with minimal pulling up, and the cushioning on the foot is comfortable. The subtle patterns are nice, you can just throw them on and not worry about how they work with everything else.

Oh and mine were sized something very broad, 9-12 I think, and they fit my 10 or 10.5 sized feet just fine.

Thanks for the update! That sounds like a much better deal in store than online--especially if you get to avoid some of the weird patterns in the sets that are available online. My feet are 8.5, though, and the "standard men's sock" size tends to leave some weird bunching up at the heel, which annoys me more than it probably ought to.

A good set of navy socks is always worth looking into, though.

Another hot and humid summer day calls for RLP khaki shorts and Indian madras, accompanied by a Torino surcingle belt:
