It's also our first wedding anniversary this weekend
Congrats, C! Might not feel all that important to you, but it does for her. Since the traditional gift for first anniversaries is something made of paper, might I suggest some nice correspondence stationary (unless she doesn't hand write letters)?
Thanks, Cards!

We've talked about it and have kind of decided (but not definitively) to not go the traditional gifts route (but we still both like some of that tradition).

I've already gotten her gifts, but I think you're right. I should probably incorporate paper somehow.

That's also sort of a can of worms though as she works for a (scrapbooking/crafting) paper company, and then I have to worry about competitors, acidity, etc. (since she thinks about all these things). :S

Off to the Cape for the long weekend, with a stop in Newport RI to scope out wedding location for the fall.
Good luck, EVT. Such things caused me all sorts of anxiety.

Ouch, yep, stay away from that bear trap.

My plans for the long weekend include exciting events like cutting the grass, pulling weeds, and spraying the bugs on my fruit trees. Maybe I'll get rewarded with grilled shellfish and steak :woohoo:

I am not going to the Indy 500 this weekend, unlike many of my friends. Instead, I'll be heading up to the Milwaukee area to visit my girlfriend... and the Shoe Bank 2.

We're skipping the annual outdoor "creative black tie" fundraiser at the zoo tonight and opting to go to the monthly First Fridays art gallery walk, then to our favorite wine bar to test drive my new wine locker! Early tennis match tomorrow morning, pool time, gardening...maybe a little golf on Sunday.

We've been attending (and in one case, chairing) so many fundraisers this spring and business has been so hectic, I'm looking forward to nice, quiet summer evenings in the back yard with Mrs. TMMKC and our dog, a little Cuban music on the iPod and a Plymouth gimlet.
