Greetings All. Good way to begin my "post" life here at the C.

Friday: all by my lonesome on the back porch in the sweltering 100 degree heat while the wife suppers with her sister somewhere downtown. Madras shorts and linen shirt very likely.

Sat: Grilling fajitas for 6 tomorrow including two new economic transplants to Texas from NJ due to the economy. Should be fun. And did I mention hot? Seersucker shorts sound good for this.

Sun: running then Church, then all alone again to bookend the weekend as the wife heads to Austin for a conference. Suit and Tie for Church as always. Game time decision.

What are you guys up to?

I'll be heading to Stone Mountain Park with my wife tomorrow for a little hiking and then meeting some friends at the famed Vortex here in Atlanta for burgers and beer.

Sunday is church and lunch at a local restaurant. I'll probably be taking a few pics for the dress category of the summer contest.

Have a fun and safe weekend!

All right, Labor Day Weekend 2009. Let's hear it, everybody.

Here's mine:
Friday - Chillin'
Saturday - Son #1 has a Cross Country Meet at 9:00, then the Vols have a game at 12:30. My old college pal from Atlanta is coming up with his son to meet me and my two, so we should have a big time.
Sunday - The boys have to acolyte both services because every other teen ager is going to some retreat or something. I'm going to try and get a coat of paint on my boat project in the afternoon. Sunday evening we'll watch the local fireworks extravaganza at friends' house who thoughtfully bought a house on the river so we could enjoy things like that. (ha)
Monday - Dove hunting at my uncle's place. New setup, so we'll see how it works out.

Whew! Tuesday, back to work to rest up.

Scott

Sounds like fun Scott. Here is my much less fun weekend.

Friday:
Might go to an outlet center in the morning
Then resting, because....
I go into work (going to be crazy) at around 6 pm.
Get home around 3:30-3:45 am.

Saturday:
Wake up sometime in the afternoon
Go into work (going to be even crazier) around 4:30 pm
Apparently not watch the first game (not broadcast?!?!?!?!)
Get home around 2:30-2:45 am

Sunday:
Church
Nap

Monday:
Class :(

Ouch Conor.

We are leaving after work this afternoon for the beach house. We have another couple coming down to join us. Tonight we will eat supper on the porch amongst the live oaks and have a dram or two of Lagavulin 16.

Tomorrow the wife and our friend J will lay by the pool all day and ready trashy magazines while we alternate between the pool and the TV for college football. Dinner and Supper outside again.

Sunday we will march down to Duck and poke around in the shops and probably make a trip to the beach and throw some horseshoes. Head into the big city of Nags Head for Supper of the wifes choosing. She's pregnant so she decides.

Get up early Monday morning and head home for a friends annual cookout and bocce tournament. Cooking a little goose breast and every other type of meat you can think of.

Shorts and trunks during the day, madras and seersucker in the evenings. Gotta make the most of these last days.

Enjoy gentleman, Life is good.

Beautiful, P. Those leaves are beautiful.

I'll be heading up to Asheville, NC. this weekend for a bachelor party/retreat. I read that this weekend the leaf change will be at its peak there.

Driving down to Philly on Saturday to see the "Princess Diana" exhibit at the National Constitution Center, girlfriend's idea. Coming back that evening.

Then Sunday, I'm surprising her with tickets to Wicked at the Gershiwn Theatre.

Nice job. Keep her happy.

I was supposed to be in Charleston this weekend but due to some unfortunate changes I am in town. I have absolutely no idea what I am going to do in his rain.

Grilling brats and having beers tomorrow on the deck with the Mrs. and a neighbor. Saturday night dinner with the executives and their wives from Mrs. B's company (I am the only exec husband attending, so trying to avoid any weirdness factor). Think I'll go with a BB houndstooth for that occasion. Sunday is running day at the lake, wife has book club so a free pass to be lazy that night, maybe a trip to the local watering hole is in order. Getting ready to travel to Paris the following weekend.

I'll be taking (one of) my teaching certification exam tomorrow morning. Very nervous and not looking forward to it. Wish me luck.

You'll do great, I'm sure. No luck needed.
