Hey guys. I hope this is OK here. My wife and I are starting the adoption process, and we started a blog to keep people updated and raise some money via ads/paypal donations. We'd appreciate it if you guys would take a look, share it, and pray for us. Thanks so much.

The wife and I have been discussing this for some time. We feel like it's less important for our kids of share our genes than to address the huge number of orphans. The process seems daunting, emotionally and financially.

Good for you for doing it. I'll be looking in on the blog as things progress. Best of luck.

That's great! I'll certainly add y'all to my prayers.

My first four children were adopted, by the way.

Bravo! I know of a number of instances where it worked out wonderfully well, and just one where it didn't, exactly. My 50 year old cousin, who had 3 grown kids, decided she wanted another, a girl this time.. After a year of fertility clinics and so forth, they decided it wasn't happening, and arranged to adopt a baby girl from Russia. Shortly after returning from Moscow with a beautiful baby girl, they discovered she was pregnant! With twins!

I wish you and yours the best of luck. :)

You're now doing what I only like to think I would do in the same situation. Hopefully, I'll repeat your actions at some point.

I agree on that basis, although I think there are several other reasons to procreate. With those in mind, I think I would like to avail myself of both child-raising options if they're available to me.

Wow, thanks for all the comments and prayers guys. We really appreciate it.

TA, we do have a one year old biological daughter already. We've just always talked about adoption.
