Well, the evening didn't go quite as planned, but it was nice spending it with A Trip Down South and Red Clay Soul.

College football is upon us. What games did everyone watch? Georgia v. Clemson? Pic related.

University of Iowa Hawkeyes vs Northern Illinois Huskies. My Grandnephew plays TE for the Hawkeyes, who lost in the final minute, 30-27.

Yup. That game was painful to watch (as a Dawg).

Ole Miss/Vandy was a great game as well. The last five minutes or so were absolutely ridiculous.

The Hawkeyes are also one of the teams I support. I grew up in Iowa and most of my friends ended up going to school in Iowa City. I'd love to see them end up with a decent season.

Anyone who has ever watched a Clemson game in the last 5-10 years will understand how incredibly relieved and surprised I am.

Sorry Jordan, Karim, any others. I've been on the other side much too often.

I have a ticket to this one, but I'm going to give it to an undergrad tomorrow so I can study all day Saturday/watch the game on TV. I know I'm going to regret the decision, but I just can't afford to kill all of Saturday and half of Sunday on football (and recovery from football).

Some upsets yesterday with Georgia beating South Carolina and The U beating Florida.

Also, Lee Corso is now 0 for 2 with his big picks.

Big game today. Roll Tide? Or will Johnny Football live up to the hype?

There is only one reason that I would hope that Nick Saban would win a football game, and that is to beat Johnny Manziel. Cheers, Nick.

Of course, if the game went the other way, I'd probably use the obverse saying.
