I felt it up here in NYC. Thought I had a balance problem but others here felt it too.

We have a collection of Phillies bobblehead figurines in our office, and it set the heads bobbling, but that's it.:)

I'm also in Manhattan. I wonder if people down in the subways thought the world ended and were drawing straws to see who would go up first.

I was in NYC when it happened but I didn't feel anything. I listened to NPR on the drive home and it must have been the most boring natural disaster coverage in the history of media. Everyone's fine. Let's go to our correspondent in New Jersey where more people are fine.

I was leaning against a a wall when it happened, and I'm sure that accentuated the experience. I think it might have have roused me out of a light sleep, but not by much.

Glad everyone is ok, but now that everyone is ok I think the news can stop covering it, no?

I do think the media is over sensationalizing a bit, but I do think think the story deserves at least some of the coverage it's getting given the rarity of east coast quakes.

My wife and I were upstairs. It certainly was an eerie experience, esp. in an old house that is probably thisclose to falling down around our ears anyway.

The kids were in the basement, didn't feel a thing.

I was in the office and it was pretty scary, stuff shaking walls moving, desk bouncing. A really strange experience. The West Coast can keep 'em.

Which I am concerned about for y'all. It could be fairly serious, depending how and where it hits. Good luck; hurricanes are awful
