Hell, why not?

Friday: Supper with Mrs. BE at Chamberlain's in north Dallas. Cocktails, etc.
Sat: Smoking ribs for a summertime get together. Cole slaw, all the "fixins" as it were.
Sun: Crucifer at Choral Mass, pop into local Irish pub for pint of Harp afterwards. Ponder dinner plans and pretend it will eventually cool down someday.

Side note: The heat has been merciless here this summer. Today was the first in 19 days it did not break 100. Not looking for sympathy, just stating facts. :)

We're off this weekend to a little island off Cape Cod that rhymes with "Go Suck It"

In Nashville for a conference.

Decidedly out of place in the home of country music with my J. Press blazer, Skipjack polo, Bill's khakis, and Topsiders.

^Drive out West End past Vanderbilt to Belle Meade. You'll be dressed like the natives.

Ole Miss move-in day Saturday for our freshman. A milestone, but lots of windshield time this weekend for Naval Gent and Naval Wife.

Headed to Kennebunkport with the girlfriend and some of her extended family for the weekend. Hoping to take a slight detour on Sunday and stop at the Barbour outlet in Kittery on the way home.

Heading to Athens this weekend for the first tailgate of the season! Sunday and Monday will likely be uneventful.

Georgia, what do you have planned Sunday? I was thinking on trying to round you and Trip up for a few afternoon cocktails in the Oakhurst area.

Ahh Athens...wish I could be there.

We're heading up to the Knoxville area for the weekend - NOT for the UT game, but for a visit with the in-laws. Golf (early) Saturday, the I'll be glued to the TV from ~noon until midnight. Sunday and Monday should be uneventful, which is fine by me.

Thanks for the invitation, Jordan - we'll have to get together soon.

Golf tomorrow, art gallery walk and wine tomorrow night, tennis/pool/gardening Saturday, and more golf Monday. No plans for Sunday...actually may work a little and slap a ribeye on the grill. Need to work one or two end-of-season Pimms Cups in there. :side:

Of course, I need to carve out five mintues to tune in to see how old Jerry Lewis looks and see what types of C-List talent the MDA snagged for his thread-bare telethon. :pinch:

Had plans to visit some friends at their lake house but after a week of too much work and not enough sleep I am too tired to drive up. Two days of naps, light reading and moderate to heavy drinking are in order.

Lots of rest, lots of Irish, lots of sewing (gotta get some wool trousers ready for the fall), lots of smoking.
