Here I am (in the background, second cousin in foreground) at the lake on the estate where my grandfather was born and grew up. Even vacationing in Europe I dress as I do at home: crewneck Shetland, khakis, penny loafers.

Thank you. It's in the south of Sweden (Skane). My last trip there I did a whirlwind tour of familial residences. Some are still in the family's ownership, most sold off long ago, or now owned by the state. I have more pics, if you have an interest.

I would not in a million years have guessed that was Sweden.

^More pics from Sweden

Overlooking Denmark - now gone to another family.

This house (1499) was considered too decrepit by my great, great-grandfather

so he built this one adjacent. Now an equestrian centre owned by the state.

This is where I stay when visiting - still in the family

I like this portrait of my great-uncle

Needless to say, I lead a very different lifestyle from that of my family in Europe...

Very cool. You need to swipe that pic of your great-uncle and put it over your fireplace.

As if I would be so uncouth... Well actually I would. Here is one portrait that I did swipe:

Some Charleston pictures. I'll try and keep commentary to a minimum.

First up, some pictures of Charleston houses.

A street name perhaps of interest.

The porch of America's only tea plantation.

My parents took some more pictures and if they send them to me I'll put some more up.

Back from Puerto Rico. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'll give it a 6.5 to 7. Very nice. Golf, rain forest, rum drinks, pool, walks on the beach, etc. We stayed about an hour outside of San Juan.

My wife took this one of me while on an early morning stroll down the beach. J Press "large gingham" shirt and cargo shorts.

Great shots, Georgia.

Do you or does your family have a place out on IOP? I think I recall seeing other photos of yours taken out there.

Thanks, Jordan.

No, we don't own on IOP (yet - as soon as my lottery numbers hit, I'm East bound and down...). We rent a house in old Mt. Pleasant.

My folks were/are big shaggers, so their place is in North Myrtle - a block from Ducks & Harold's.

Personally, I think a house in old Mt. Pleasant is better than one on IOP.
