Excellent! Great flavor, wonderful perfume. Very pricey though.

Alec Bradley Medalist
Inviting flavors of hazelnut, coffee, toffee, caramel. Fragrant.
No bite, smooth.

Romeo Y Julieta Maduro Reserve
Simple and one-dimensional, but ok.

H. Upmann Vintage Cameroon
Excellent construction. Light but very nice. Classic Cameroon perfume and flavor.
Ideal draw & burn.

A. Fuente Hemingway Short Story
Lovely Cameroon flavor & perfume.
Enjoyed at the Owl Shop after a visit to J. Press around the corner.

Camacho Triple Maduro
Flavorful, rich smoke. Full body. Very good.
A bit of an inconsistent burn, but I will give it a pass as a triple maduro.

Romeo Y Julieta Romeo
Harsh on the throat. Good aroma, but to hard to enjoy. Needs age?

Carlos Torano Reserva Selecta
Medium. Ok aroma, but one dimensional flavor. Fair at best.

Alec Bradley Tempus
Full, flavorful. Vanilla notes. rich thick smoke. Inviting aroma. Needed relighting, however.

Nub Cameroon
Excellent draw, burn, constuction.
Touch of sweet classic Cameroon notes. Smooth, no bite, nice.

Nemakubi Equador Room 101
Light, evolving to medium.
Deep roast & tobacco. Simple, one dimensional. Earth notes. Good construction.

Carlos Torano 2004 Tribute
Terrible chemical taste, burnt rubber. Thrown out. Last Torano ever.

Oliva Serie G Aged Cameroon 4.5x50 Robusto
Very nice, rich, consistent, inviting flavors. Nice Cameroon perfume. Touch of Cameroon sweetness.
What a bargain smoke!

Alec Bradley Vice Press
Rich, thick, copious smoke.
Nice enticing flavor.

Alec Bradley Para Nuestra Familia Family Blend T11
Interesting, but very inconsitent.
First 1/3 was poor, mid 1/3 had good, rich, copious smoke with nice fragrance.
Then it got very rough and harsh on the throat and palette.
Intoxicating, extreme level of nicotine. Strongest yet, debilitating even. Will not repeat.

Nub Habano
Creamy, fragrant, chewy, inviting flavors. Toasted oatmeal with maple, sweet caramel.
Perfect draw, burn, construction. Never bitter.

My Father Le Bijou 1922 Petit Robusto
Inviting, delicious smoke. Consistent throughout. Rich, copious smoke. great aroma.
Owl Shop, leather chair, after J. Press mission.

Alec Bradley Tempus Maduro
Fair start, good middle. One dimensional.

Rocky Patel Edge Missile Maduro
Excellent, delicious rich smoke, nutty, chewy. Great throughout.

Rocky Patel 1990 Vintage Petit Corona
Good rich solid cigar. Erratic burn needed relights, but good flavors. Enjoyable, dense, aromatic smoke.

Omar Ortiz Maduro Short Torpedo
Terrible canoe burn.
Off flavors like a dirty ash tray. Bad cigar.

Perdomo 20th Anniversary Box Press
A rich, delicious cigar. Chocolate brownie flavor, great aromatics, moderately rich, on the full end of medium/full bodied. The flavors had the character of being very mature and fully aged.
No bitterness at any point, wonderful to the end.
Flawless burn, and draw, but very firmly constructed.
The type of smoke you could just chew on.
Quite strong as well.

Punch Rothschild MM 4.5x50
A wonderful, old school Double Maduro, with the aroma and flavor to match. Beautiful dark chocolate brown wrapper. Creamy, rich, nutty flavors, and absolutely velvety smooth. Seductive aroma. Firm construction but perfect draw. The burn was a tiny bit uneven, but that is easily understood and forgiven for a Double Maduro. A superb value, and a very enjoyable stick. I knew I should have grabbed more!

La Riqueza
Thin, shrill taste of cigarette ash & black pepper. A very unpleasant cigar, especially given the expectations. Completely devoid of any pleasure.

Casa Magna, D. Magnus II Limitada Esteli Nicarauga
Hollow, thin cigarette flavor. Snubbed out & tossed, life is too short.

Topper Old Fashioned Extra Oscuro
Extra dark Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper. Earthy, caramel, classic maduro flavors with a touch of spice. Nice aroma.
The cigar snobs won't go near this cigar because it is machine made, but it is a flavorful smoke for the low price, and has embarrassed many a more expensive "premium" handrolled cigar. The only demerits are that it is a looser, softer construction, so it smokes a bit hotter & faster, but I think the character it offers is worth it, especially given the value proposition.

Thanks for these! I'll be sure to keep this in mind on my next visit to the tobacconist. :)

^ You're welcome, Topsider. It's tough work, but someone has to do it.

CAO Cameroon L'anniversaire
Robusto 5x50
Very nice! Rich, deep, inviting, classic aged Cameroon flavor & sweet aroma.
This stick has loads of classic Cameroon character and I found it very enjoyable right to the finger-burning end.
It continued to get progesssively better, and was never harsh or bitter. The smoke was dense and wonderfully perfumed, and drew effortlessly.
If your buddy has one too, let him fire up first so that you can smell it second-hand.

Nat Sherman
Timeless #2
52x6.5
Colorado colored wrapper. Firm, flawless construction.
While a medium bodied smoke, the aroma and flavors were very nice.
This cigar is pure class. Impeccable manners. Never hot, harsh, bitter, sour.
Leave yourself a big block of time for this one.

Note: For me, Nat Sherman was a place to get great pipe tobacco (High Noon was outstanding) but I never preferred their cigars. At all. They were thin, weak, uninspiring, and devoid of enjoyment for me. Had a trusted individual not convinced me to give the Nat Sherman "Timeless" a try, I would never have done so. I was very pleasantly surprised by the very positive stylistic shift in this Nat Sherman cigar. And I wandered off my reservation even further in that I really prefer maduros and Cameroons, and avoid naturals, CT shade, etc, but this colorado was pretty good.

Rocky Patel Decade
10th Anniversary
Robusto 5x50
Beautiful Sumatra wrap on a flawless box press construction.
This refined and sophisticated offering produces rich, dense, fragrant, effortless smoke.
The aroma and flavors are very complex and creamy, with a woods and spice backbone. Forest, gingerbread, cedar wood, and exotic incense-like spice. No bite, no harshness, just velvety smooth while concentrated and focused at the same time. Inviting, seductive flavor and aroma.
My friend and I both enjoyed one of these after a great lunch, and just before a fun brewery tour, and we both liked them thoroughly. Highly recommended!

Yes, the Arturo Fuente Don Carlos #2 Cameroon Torpedo can be stood on its ash.

Its flavor, construction, burn, character, and aroma are very nice, especially once a quarter into the cigar. But I still prefer the AF Hemingway Cameroons.

This one was purchased at the Owl Shop. And you can probably guess the other nearby store I visited just before. 8)
