I'm heading to San Diego for a couple weeks in September, and if you have them please give me recommendations for places to eat, things to do, etc.

I've not been there since I was 12 years old...

Thanks,

EVT

I like the Hotel Del Coronado. Hang out and have a meal there, and pretend Marilyn Monroe might walk around the corner.

I was there almost 11 years ago with my wife for our honeymoon. We stayed at the Hotel Del Coronado which I highly recommend. Other recommendations:

Zoo - best I have ever seen.
Laguna Beach - we drove up for a day and had a wonderful time.
Temecula wine tour - there are some vineyards inland about 90 mintues or so north of San Diego and you can take a guided tour.
Misson District - many resatuarants and shops.

I did not visit Legoland, but one of my partners goes most summers with his children.

Enjoy San Diego. After visiting I undersatnd the allure of southern California.

Excellent, I've made Sunday brunch reservations for Hotel Del Coronado.

Looking forward to it.

If you have the time, check out the wild animal park. It's different than the zoo. They have several different open environments where giraffes, hippos, and lots of other safari critters roam free. They'll take you out there in a truck for a close-up experience (e.g, hand-feeding giraffes and hippos - very cool).
