Anybody have botanical gardens (almost) in their backyards? I do. A lovely place to walk and take pictures.

Great stuff Conor- I have had a tendency to include the random pheasant, turkey, or flower pic in my waywt posts. This is a better spot. I will get in this game as soon as I find some free time w sunlight.

Do you know what the raptor (bird of prey) is? We have red-tail hawks, kestrel, and a falcon made its nest here last year. Very hard to photo with my little coolpix... nice job.

The Athens gardens are about a mile from my house. I don't get out there as frequently as I should, but I try to get out there every once in a while with my camera.

Yes, great stuff Karim. I've been to the Athens gardens before (my uncle lives there) and they are really nice.

Ben: sorry to get back to you late. I have no idea what the bird is. I saw it in a tree and then tried snapping off a few pics while it flew away. My autofocus failed miserably and this is the only shot I got. Not too bad though, as it turns out. I was pleasantly surprised.

^I' think either a Red Tailed or Red Shouldered Hawk. They're similar. Red Shouldered, probably.

Great photos, guys.
