^ Terrible call but no excuse for that behavior, I agree.

On a more amusing note:

New York Yankees. Alex "Mendoza Line" Rodriguez. Alex "Here's my phone number" Rodriguez. Alex "We have a better chance of winning if I'm out there" Rodriguez.

What a muldoon.

It's Mudville around here, except for the Boston fans who are teasing their rival fans without mercy. As a Mets fan, and therefore uninterested in baseball, I can afford to take a detached view.

At least you have RA Dickey's Cy Young to look forward to.

I've really grown to despise the Cardinals, and the way the new expanded postseason rewards these types of teams.

Barring a Giants comeback the World Series will feature 5th best team in the NL and the 7th best team in the AL

Good news. Giants complete comeback. Still rooting for Detroit since Rangers got bounced.

I like Detroit but I am a National League guy. This could be a good Series

Agreed. I think pitching will dominate. Even though I am an AL guy, I appreciate the theatrics that accompany low scoring, close World Series games.

On the other hand, since I am immune to the excitement of professional basketball, I would like to get the maximum number of games out of the World Series. So for crying out loud start hitting, Tigers. Please.

That was, to say the least, anticlimactic.

Just wanted to say Good Luck and Happy New Season and all that to the baseball fans out there. Should be an interesting year for my Red Sox.

In an hour I will be at game three of the Eastern League Eastern Division championship. AA Binghamton Mets are down two games to the Yankee affiliated Trenton Thunder. Tonight we will see if they can win at home and keep alive or if this is the end. They actually had a good year having the best record in the league during the regular season. This the first time since 04 they have been in post season play.

UPDATE- Mets go down 3-0.
